Last night, I dedicated hours to meticulously assemble the stitch markers and progress keepers that will be a part of this enchanting advent calendar. Let me tell you, it's going to be truly remarkable. My partner even saw them and wanted to buy me one 🤪
Including a project bag in this advent was perhaps one of the craziest ideas I've ever had (in the best way possible, of course)! For the record, I handcraft each of these project bags. I've been sewing since the age of 10, so you can trust that I've got plenty of experience 😉. These bags, measuring approximately 11x11 inches, come with a zip closure, a convenient handle, and are lined. Each one is carefully hand-cut, hand-sewn, and, most importantly, hand-ironed (yes, the ironing is indeed the most laborious part!).
A Glimpse into the Magic:
Here's a sneak peek at some of the bags I've already created. Each one is unique, and you can be sure that no more than four will feature the same fabric combination. So, what you see may not be exactly what you get, but rest assured, they'll all be adorned with charming holiday-themed designs.
As of now, I've already completed a quarter of the bags required for the advent, and it's not even Halloween yet! I received a fresh batch of fabric just yesterday, and it went straight into the washing machine, eager to be part of the next sewing marathon. Still waiting on more fabric that I already ordered, so things are progressing beautifully.
